03 BLACKOUT! 04:11
BLACKOUT (i dont bend over for headphones. Headphones bend over for me).
3.
It is pre-eminently the time to speak the truth, the whole truth, frankly and boldly. Truth?Truth? Truth: truth. The TRUTH! waxwings are berry-pecking. The TRUTH! pecking! pecking, pecking! It is pre-eminently the time to speak the truth, the whole truth, frankly and boldly. The Truth! frankly, and boldly! it is pre-eminently the time. The Truth! Today I'm sixty-one. The waxwings are berry-picking. A cicada siiiiiings. What death, what doom awaited consciousness beyond the tomb? The Truth! There was a time in my dement, there was the day when i began to doubt man's sanity, and finally there was the sleepless night, the foul, the inadmissable abyss of books.

about

This is a 5-track EP (with one track available for streaming!)

1) An Earnest Proposal (we need drumz)
2) Boss Vegas (extend guitar solo version)
3) BLACKOUT!
4) give up the truth!
5) The Night (Hard Rock Demo)

The concept of the album is that of a drunken night where Peter challenges Jeremy Aulden to write a song, and this time for a specific purpose: to raise money for drums. The final track is a demo of said song.

The album's concept is harrowingly real, however. Currently, Lilac practices and performs with a borrowed drum kit, one whose owner soon wishes it to make their own rock jams to place on their own psychedelic toast. So this album is a vision of a lilac without drums. It still rocks, but it could rock EVEN MORE!!! especially when we're rocking STAGE STYLE!!!

Tracklist and lyrics:
1) An Earnest Proposal (we need drumz)

Recorded, produced, and mastered by PTRxNRT. Guitar by Floyd, Desire/Inspiration from Aulden.

lyrics:
Let's get drunnk.., and write that (what?), that (what!?!),
that song, y'all
but probably don't make it too long
(get it on get it on get it on get it on)
Let's get drunnk and write that song!
---due to some violent content, parental discretion is advised
LET'S GET HENRY DAVID THOREAU'D!
step into my lab.
i got some soundscapes, that are cookin like mad
this little one here's a commercial for my sponsor,
(is that mentre?)
this other one here samples neutral milk
(who needs a fridge?)
for this other one, i just need a rocker.
(thanks, jack)
someone to slang, a tone so cosmic
that stoned cats think an alien is bombin,
the way the song is, we dont gotta make it long,
better yet, leave em wishin for some more
that way we can remix our classics as an encore
let our fort have the floor
with the sheet music form our score,
yea dont make this night a bore, sittin on the couch.
there's only one way to find out what we're about.

Let's get drunnk and write that song!
(get it on get it on get it on get it on)
Let's get drunnk and write that song!
don't wait too late.

2) Boss Vegas (Extended Guitar Solo Version)

PTRxNRT beats, processing, mastering, and vibe synth,
Jeremy Aulden and PTRxNRT field recordings,
Jeremy Aulden Acoustic Guitardelica, Bass synth(s), Trippy Noise synth,
Jackson Floyd Electric Guitardelica

3) BLACKOUT!

Jeremy Aulden - Talking, co-beatitude, acoustic guitar, organ, synth and composition stuff
PTRxNRT - Processing, co-beatitude, bass synth, distorted sitar synth, noise and effects stuff.

Incidentally, this is also the track composed when yo boy (P) and vegas (JA) were both boss-vegas-drunk.

lyrics:

BLACKOUT!

i dont, i dont, i dont, i do

(i dont bend over for headphones.
Headphones bend over for me).

4) Give Up The Truth!

The final project for yo boy!'s electronic music class, this features readings that were read, recorded, and rephrased from Kinbote's poem "Pale Fire".

Except for a recording of Franklin Deleanor Roosevelt's first inaugural speech from 1932, all voices and sounds were likely performed, synthesized, and processed by PTRxNRT, and certainly the entire composition is his.

lyrics:
It is pre-eminently the time to speak the truth, the whole truth, frankly and boldly.

Truth?Truth? Truth: truth.

The TRUTH!
waxwings are berry-pecking.
The TRUTH!
pecking! pecking, pecking!

It is pre-eminently the time to speak the truth, the whole truth, frankly and boldly.

The Truth!
frankly, and boldly!
it is pre-eminently the time.

The Truth!

Today I'm sixty-one.
The waxwings are berry-picking.
A cicada siiiiiings.
What death, what doom awaited consciousness beyond the tomb?

The Truth!

There was a time in my dement,
there was the day when i began to doubt man's sanity,
and finally there was the sleepless night,
the foul, the inadmissable abyss of books.

5) The Night (Hard Rock Demo)

Jeremy Aulden - Vocals, guitar, bass
PTRxNRT - beat, synthnoise, mastering, co-lyricism

lyrics (as interpreted by PTRxNRT):

Our shadows walk without us tonight,

They walk down the road with their heads as their soles,
nobody knows just where they go, everything's slow,
oohhh, will you please help me, help me, ooohh

Our shadows walk without us tonight,
our shadows, our shadows.

The carpenter will find you in the valley of death,
are you ready?
are you ready to feel his way?

oooh, ooh, oh, o:

the carpenter's our king, he taught me to sing.
our shadows walk without us tonight.
the carpenter's our king, He taught me to sing,
found me in the valley of death tonight.
the carpenter's our king, We taught me to sing,
all the ocean's tides will sway tonight, yea
